"The fool seeks after the choice gold or the prize" indicates that the fool is driven by material wealth and external rewards. This portrayal signifies a shortsighted perspective that places emphasis on immediate gratification and worldly possessions. The fool is consumed by the pursuit of fleeting treasures, often disregarding the deeper and more meaningful aspects of life.
In contrast, "the wise seek after wisdom and the process of growing, knowing that the results will take care of themselves."
